One of Scotland’s premier delivery companies, M&H Carriers, has launched a new distribution hub in Perth, which it calls “the gateway to the north” for the country’s logistics sector.

The new facility boasts a 15,000 sq.ft. warehouse and an expansive 1.5-acre on-site yard.

This strategic expansion will see the company bolster its fleet with over 10 additional vehicles, creating new jobs and enhancing connectivity between its existing hubs, strengthening logistics networks across Scotland.

The new Perth location marks M&H Carriers’ fifth delivery hub, joining its headquarters in Aberdeen and additional hubs in Inverness, Dundee, and Argyll.

Equipped with a spacious yard and advanced warehousing facilities, the site will significantly expand the company’s delivery capacity in Perth and Dundee, while boosting trunking capabilities to all its northern locations.

Shipments for UK and beyond

From this strategic hub, businesses and individuals can ship parcels, pallets, and two-person products across Scotland, and onward to the rest of the UK and beyond.

Supporting operations across Scotland is a robust network of 14 satellite depots, enabling M&H Carriers to provide exceptional service to rural and remote communities. Recent additions include new depots in Invergordon, Broadford, Aviemore, and Lochgilphead.

Overseeing the Perth hub is Stephen Jamieson, who will work closely with Thomas Gardiner, the existing general manager for Perth and Dundee.

Moving pallets, freights and parcels

M&H Carrier’s managing director Fraser MacLean says: “Perth is the gateway to the north of Scotland, connecting strategic population centers like Aberdeen, Inverness and Oban – and remote and rural communities – to the rest of the country.”

MacLean adds that this new hub in Perth will give customers greater access to the whole country, whether they are moving pallets, freight and parcels north or south. This he says will strengthen the business’s network and create new opportunities for growth.
