Uber is adding a festive twist to its services by introducing a ‘Festive Fleet’ and other holiday-themed offerings. The dash of merriment includes karaoke buses and an adorable robot reindeer.
The ride-hailing company says these experiences will be available until the end of the year, all exclusively available on the Uber and Uber Eats apps.
Uber’s robot reindeer
Shoppers in Los Angeles, Miami or Fairfax will be treated to a delightful sight this December – robot reindeer will be taking to the streets to deliver food. They’ll be easy to spot since they’re decorated with reindeer antlers and bright-red ‘noses.’
In a statement to Fox Business, global head of autonomous mobility and delivery at Uber, Noah Zych said the unique delivery units were created to “spread holiday cheer by dressing up delivery robots as reindeer.”
“We’ll be making spirits bright with Cartken and Serve robot reindeer, who will be delivering food all month long,” Zych says.
Uber’s Festive Fleet
If December means non-stop partying for you, then the Festive Fleet is what you’re looking for. The service is available in New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Chicago and Washington, D.C.
Uber explains: “We’re offering party goers […] the opportunity to experience our festive fleet of decked out buses complete with karaoke, holiday lights, photo props and more.”
Other December features
The company is also offering a Dr. Seuss-inspired ‘Very Grinchmas Kit,’ exclusively to Uber One members. It is available in the Eats app at the time of publishing, “just in time for the Who-lidays,” the company says.
The kit includes a buildable, do-it-yourself gingerbread version of Cindy-Lou’s Who-ville House, character-themed cookies, a Who-hot-cocoa recipe, and an AR (augmented reality) experience of Mt. Crumpit.

You can also let Uber Connect double up as your Secret Santa this year. This feature was borne of customers’ same-day shipping needs, with 61% of consumers saying they want their items within 1-3 hours of ordering.
With the Store Pickup feature via Uber Connect, you can arrange for a pick-up from a local store and a Connect courier will deliver it to wherever you’d like. Store Pickup is available in 1,700 U.S. cities and towns.
