Staffordshire-based Pallet Network Solutions has joined the Palletways UK network due to increasing demand for a regional partner to handle direct haulage.

Palletways UK specializes in express palletized freight solutions, while Pallet Network Solutions is the UK’s leading provider of trunking and shunting solutions to the pallet network.

Expertise to navigate pallet network

Pallet Network Solutions works independently and partners with leading pallet networks. It provides the knowledge, resource, and expertise needed to navigate the complex requirements of hub environments.

Business development and key account manager for Pallet Network Solutions Claire Douthwaite, told Post & Parcel: “Becoming a sole network member to Palletways was an easy decision to make. We’ve worked with Palletways for many years, providing support services to their Fradley hub and corporate depot. As we expanded to offer customers our new haulage service, it seemed only natural to partner with Palletways,” she says.

Douthwaite adds that the company collects and delivers a high volume of pallets across the Staffordshire, Warwickshire and Leamington Spa area. “The technologies that Palletways offers allow us, as a business, to provide stability for our customers as we can easily scale up in peak sessions. Palletways tracking technologies, such as ETA, are just one of the many benefits of joining the network that allow us to put our customers first and bring further efficiencies to our business operations.”

Blazing a trail in the pallet network

Palletways UK was established in 1994 with its UK-based business offering palletized distribution services. After operating for 10 years, the company opened facilities in Europe.

This followed a presence in Spain, Italy, and Germany. Today, the business has seven main networks including Italy, Germany, and Hungary. The company’s services 24 countries in Europe.

Grand View Research reports there is a rising use of plastic pallets across the globe. This is a key trend which is expected to drive growth of the global pallet market. “Rising sales of smartphones, growing use of the internet, and e-commerce, the necessity for logistic services is boosting the growth of the pallet market globally.”

Pallets can streamline supply chain

Logistics companies across the globe use pallets to transport cargo. Here are some ways pallets can streamline your supply chain:

  • Reduce loading and uploading times: Pallets allow goods to be moved in bulk. They help move large items faster.
  • Maximize storage space: Pallets can be stacked. This allows warehouse operators to maximize space when storing goods.
  • Product safety: Goods can be packed safely on pallets to minimize damage. This leads customers to receive goods which are not damaged.
  • Durability: Pallets can withstand heavy loads, and can be reused.
