Speedy Freight has announced its new offering, a tailor-made parcel service that will serve its UK and international customers. Now, customers will not have to worry about collections that don’t meet their schedule.

The company was founded in 2006 and is headquartered in Bristol. It has over 60 branches covering the UK.

Speedy Freight’s solution for fast courier needs

The new offering, Speedy Parcels, will offer businesses flexible collections seven days a week. It will work with various parcel carriers and freight companies. The offering will enable Speedy Freight to place parcels directly into the network of selected carriers. Speed Parcel will accommodate packages and heavy, irregular-sized parcel shipments.

Commercial director Sheila Crosby says: “Speedy Parcels is the perfect solution for businesses that need a flexible solution for their parcel deliveries. We’re offering a tracked next-day or economy parcel delivery service throughout the UK and Europe, working in collaboration with a range of leading providers, which means we’re able to inject parcels directly into the chosen parcel carrier’s network.”

Save money

Through Speedy Parcel, clients with high shipping volumes will benefit from volume discounts and also have a choice of various parcel carriers.

Crosby adds that Speedy Freight can collect the consignments at a time and day that suits our client, providing customers with a stress-free process and a great way for businesses to consolidate their logistics. In addition to this, the company will integrate with e-commerce platforms such as Amazon, eBay, Etsy, and Spotify.

Speedy Freight on a journey of growth

2021 UK growth capital investor BGF invested in Speedy Freight. Investor Matt Widdall says Speedy Freight has a clear difference in the market – service levels, responsiveness, and its national network capabilities. The investment was part of Speedy Freight’s expansion plans.

Today, the company’s end-to-end logistics operations include white glove and temperature-controlled solutions.

Quick delivery

Insider Intelligence’s report on last-mile delivery says that companies with quick and dependable delivery services are more likely to acquire and retain clients, which boost revenues. “If last-mile delivery allows businesses to provide delivery services to remote and rural areas, their sales and revenues may rise as a result of greater access to new clients,” reads the report.

Courier service market

Allied Market Research reports the global growth of the courier service industry is due to the e-commerce industry and the demand for fast parcel delivery. “Leading online e-commerce platforms, such as Amazon, Inc., Flipkart, and others, are offering one-day courier delivery options to their customers to attract more customers and provide them with a faster buying experience,” reads the report.

Courier companies are now having to think of ways to meet customer demands in a quick time. Recently, Oracle and Uber announced a partnership that allows retailers to offer customers same-day deliveries.
