Retailers in the Midwest are about to become more empowered. This is thanks to US-based last-mile specialists OnTrac expanding its e-commerce delivery network into the Midwest, beyond Chicagoland and Illinois.
The network expansion will pass through Madison and Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota, and St. Louis, Missouri. With this, retailers will be able to reach 17 million additional customers.
OnTrac’s last-mile solution
The company was founded in 1991 as California Overnight. Fast forward a few years, OnTrac has reached over 65 million customers. In July 2023, the business expanded into Texas, reaching Dallas-Fort Worth, Austin, Houston, and San Antonio.
Today, the company’s logistics network connects companies to local delivery professionals through leading technology, advanced material handling, and excellent customer service.
Fast delivery
Josh Dinneen, COO at OnTrac says this latest expansion will see the company serve the top 30 metro markets in the US and help our retail partners reach 70% of the population across 35 states and Washington, D.C.
“OnTrac continues to grow our network to help our shipping partners reach their customers with faster, reliable delivery,” says Dinneen.
Weekend delivery service
In March, the company launched its weekend delivery service.
Here is how retailers will benefit from the service:
- Average transit time is two days faster than other carriers.
- There are no additional fees for Saturday and Sunday.
- Retailers will acquire more customers, build brand loyalty, and generate positive feedback by meeting consumer expectations of faster delivery.
- Retailers can differentiate themselves from competitors who do not deliver to customers on weekends.
- With 7-day deliveries, customers do not have to wait a few days for a parcel to be delivered.
