Walmart is expanding its logistics and fulfillment services to third-party sellers, enabling them to fulfill orders from platforms beyond its own marketplace. This announcement was made recently at the Let’s Grow! 2024 Walmart Marketplace Seller Summit.
The retail giant is using its next-generation supply chain and advanced technology to simplify and streamline fulfillment for sellers at some of the lowest rates in the industry.
Walmart Fulfillment Services (WFS) is introducing new options for sellers to efficiently move merchandise across markets and utilize the company to fulfill any e-commerce retail order.
Multichannel logistics
The new Multichannel Solutions program allows sellers to use WFS to fulfill orders from any e-commerce platform via its supply chain.
This service includes order fulfillment, returns management, plain, unbranded packaging, fast and reliable shipping, and competitive rates that are, on average, 15% lower than the competition. The program launches on September 10, just in time for the holiday season.

Cross-border fulfillment
With the new Walmart cross Border import service for full-container-load shipments, WFS can now manage the transportation of inbound goods from ports in Asia directly to WFS facilities across the US, enhancing cross-border logistics capabilities.
The retail giant is now offering its carrier network to sellers for full truckload shipments. Sellers using the Walmart Preferred Carrier program through WFS can ship anything from a few items to a full truckload at special rates with carriers approved by Walmart.
Manish Joneja, senior vice president, Walmart Marketplace and WFS says sellers are looking for a smart path for growth. “We’re bringing all the pieces together to be much more than a marketplace and investing in new ways for sellers to serve customers as we grow together.”
