Porsche sports car lovers can now shop in-store using a brand-new e-commerce platform launched in Australia.
It’s perfect just in time for Christmas to help boost sales for their iconic and distinctive lifestyle products and accessories.
What’s new from the e-commerce platform? A faster and better online experience, says Porsche. They are now using Shopify Plus to bring together more products in one place. This will be Porsche Lifestyle as well as selected Porsche Tequipment and Porsche Classic products.
Porsche car lovers: What to expect online
Think of clothing, luxury accessories, and a range of lifestyle products. Porsche says it’s the largest range they are selling in one place, making it more accessible for international shoppers.
Bonus feature: Porsche promises customers an exclusive experience by allowing them to be “first to access new products as they become available.”
Although it seems all about the lifestyle, it also caters to vehicle accessories and classic parts.
Future plans could include Porsche events and other experiences. The details of these plans have yet to be announced.
Porsche invests in digital transformation
The sports car company has always provided customers with an online shopping experience; however, this improved version comes as Porsche realizes the potential of investing more in online shopping.
“Porsche is a leading luxury lifestyle brand, and every touchpoint, both offline and online, is an opportunity to delight and excite our customers,” says Daniel Schmollinger, CEO and managing director of Porsche Cars Australia.
He says their new online store is part of their digital transformation project. “We have implemented these to enhance our customers’ online experiences with us.”
Other investments to embrace the modern online experience include the Porsche Drive Rental and the Virtual Porsche Retail Experience. With more online shoppers using their mobile phones, Porsche has also invested in improving their mobile applications, such as My Porsche or the Porsche Sell Direct App.
Porsche customer experience on steroids
The new e-commerce shop will make the login process easier, allowing customers to sign in with their unique Porsche ID.
The checkout process is also promised to be faster and more streamlined.
“The new online store is also designed to simplify product fulfillment and logistics management, helping to ensure customers get exactly what they want as quickly as possible,” says the luxury sports car company.
