UK parcel carrier Yodel has partnered with The Cornish Company for deliveries nationwide. The agreement will span two years.
The Cornish Company was founded by two young entrepreneurs from Cornwall, who share a deep passion for local cuisine.
It offers a diverse range of traditional Cornish foods, cream teas, and beverages. Their mission is to unite the Cornish community by highlighting and supporting local artisan food and drink producers. They aspire to share the essence of Cornwall across the UK and globally.
Yodel acquisition and delivery missions
Yodel has been racking up partnerships in the industry in recent months, Earlier this year, the business teamed up with sustainable delivery solutions provider Delivery Mates to expand its service in Glasgow, Scotland.
This initiative will bolster the delivery landscape in the city and provide efficient and sustainable solutions for businesses.
The parcel carrier also saw a number of big changes for the business. In February, Yodel was acquired by YDLGP Limited. YDLGP also agreed on terms to buy the entire issued share capital of Shift, the tech logistics scale-up that acquired and relaunched Tuffnells in June 2023.
Industry shake up
Shaking things up in the postal service industry was the big news of Royal Mail being acquired by Czech businessman Daniel Křetínský for $4.5 billion.
In announcing the sale, Křetínský says: “IDS, and Royal Mail in particular, form part of the national infrastructure of the countries they operate in. More than that, Royal Mail is part of the fabric of UK society and has been for hundreds of years.”

Express Market Research reports that the United Kingdom Courier, Express, and Parcel market is estimated to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 7% in the next eight years – some good growth.
“Rising demand for fast and convenient delivery options have shifted the focus of courier, express, and parcel service providing companies towards exploring alternative delivery methods and enhancement of last mile logistics, aiding the United Kingdom courier, express, and parcel (CEP) market growth,” reads the report.
