Top athletic-inspired fashion retailer, Hibbett, Inc., now offers same and next-day delivery through Walmart GoLocal, Walmart’s delivery service for retailers, and Salesforce Commerce Cloud.
Customers can quickly receive thousands of items, including sneakers, apparel, and accessories. These speedy deliveries are fulfilled from hundreds of Hibbett and City Gear stores nationwide.

Convenient and reliable delivery
Rina Hurst, vice president, Walmart GoLocal says customers look to retailers for convenient and reliable delivery for general merchandise and apparel.
“Ahead of the busy back-to-school season, expanding e-commerce and same-day delivery capabilities with Walmart GoLocal and Salesforce positions Hibbett to continue meeting customers’ expectations. We’re proud to work with them to deliver for their customers,” says Hurst.

Michael Affronti, senior vice president and general manager of commerce cloud at Salesforce points out that a company’s order fulfillment strategy and operations are table stakes to its customer loyalty.
“Shoppers today expect speed and convenience when it comes to delivery and 74% of consumers say it takes less than three bad experiences before they switch brands,” says Affronti.
When did Walmart GoLocal start?
Walmart GoLocal, retail giant Walmart’s delivery business, provides companies with reliable delivery and fulfillment services. Using Walmart’s extensive retail and logistics expertise, Walmart GoLocal helps retailers and other businesses expand by offering effective delivery solutions. Since its launch in August 2021, it has facilitated millions of deliveries across the country.
In October, Walmart GoLocal teamed up with logistics solutions company SmartKargo to expand next-to-two day delivery capabilities.
On-demand delivery
Earlier this year, Walmart introduced on-demand early morning delivery. Customers can now receive packages on their doorstep as they begin their day.
Across the pond in the UK, delivery provider Evri is on a mission to have the largest fleet of e-cargo bikes in the UK.
What’s the UK e-commerce market doing?
A recent ‘market watch’ report by Asendia shows many UK businesses have adopted hybrid working patterns, and people working from home are boosting e-commerce growth.
As a result, online shopping rates in the UK are at 81.5%, well above the European average of 64% and the global average of 49%.
