InPost a leading industry player
InPost is a leading out-of-home e-commerce enablement platform, strategically enhancing logistics for the digital retail sector. Established in 1999 in Poland by CEO, Rafal Brzoska, InPost has expanded its operations to encompass over 20,000 Automated Parcel Machines (APMs) across the region.
The company offers comprehensive to-door courier and fulfillment solutions tailored for e-commerce businesses. Its recent acquisition of Mondial Relay has further extended its capabilities, adding 17,000 pick-up and drop-off (PUDO) locations to the company’s network.
In July, InPost Group formed a partnership with Menzies Distribution Group Limited (Menzies). This strategic partnership appoints Menzies as the dedicated logistics provider for InPost in the UK.
As the dominant force in the Polish e-commerce logistics market, InPost continues to broaden its reach in France, Benelux, Iberia, the UK, and Italy, reinforcing our position as a key player in European e-commerce.
Neil Kuschel says: “I am thrilled to be joining InPost as UK CEO during such a pivotal time for the business. 2023 was a year of record-breaking growth for the company. Our innovative approach to lockers aligns perfectly with the evolving preferences of consumers for convenient, fast, affordable and sustainable collection and delivery options.”
UK Parcel delivery market
Mordor Intelligence reports the UK’s courier, express, and parcel (CEP) market size is estimated at US$17.13 billion in 2024. It is expected to grow at an annual compound growth rate of 3.35% in the next six years.
In November, courier giant UPS announced expanding its Access Point locker network in the UK. The company is partnering with smart locker providers and opening 400 new locations where deliveries can be made. Customers can have packages sent to their nearest location when they are away. This allows customers to collect their packages at a locker at any time.
Last month, Parcel carrier DPD UK came out on top in MoneySavingExpert.com’s annual delivery service poll. Respondents who use parcel carriers were asked to rate their customer experience with the carriers they used in 2023. Fifty-six thousand votes were cast.
DPD received 55% ‘great’ ratings, while its sister company, DPD Local, maintained its third-place position from the 2023 poll, alongside DHL also held its spot in fourth place.
